Who we are

Surprise Encounter is the newest tabletop gaming parlour to hit Coventry. We provide a safe, inclusive place for gamers of all ages, backgrounds, and experience. Come to Surprise Encounter to learn all sorts of tabletop gaming: boardgames, roleplay games, wargames, card games and everything in between.

Groups are welcome, you can come and game with us without a group. Join one of our open gaming sessions, or show up. Eldritch is always up for a game and Hannah is always ready to explode some kittens.

We offer GM mentoring and a general ‘come play’ vibe. We’ll read your instructions for you, help you with a home-brew campaign, or teach you how to take your games to the next level. Bringing back in person connection, have a surprising encounter with us.
